The 8th edition of the festival is to be held 10th -14th of April – 2017 in Aarhus/Denmark
The festival is a project, focussing on the classical saxophone in chamber music. The participants are encouraged to contribute with suggested repertoire and also to apply as either single participant or as part of an existing ensemble. As a single participant we will put you in ensembles with other saxophonists and it is of great importance that you spend a lot of time preparing the pieces that is to be performed at the festival.
The program for the festival is depending on how many saxophonists that will be joining the festival.
Leaders: Johannes Thorell, Claus Olesen, Joonatan Rautiola, Henriette Jensen amongst others.
The festival is mainly a chamber music festival, but when you apply you can specify if you wish to have an individual lesson. If there is time available we will do our best to find a good solution but our experience from the earlier festivals is that basically every single minute of the festival will be needed -and used for- chamber music rehearsals.
